Mark 12:28–30 in action

Neighbors helping neighbors.

Love God, Love Neighbor turns generosity into real local hospitality. You fund a coffee or meal card. A trusted organization places it into a neighbor’s hands. A participating local business welcomes and serves them.

Real neighbors. Real local organizations. Real local shops and restaurants.
Simple on purpose

How it works

No maze of paperwork. No separate charity line. Just a practical gift delivered with dignity through people and places already rooted in the community.

01

Neighbors fund it.

Individuals, families, churches, and businesses fund coffee cards for $9 or meal cards for $25.

02

Trusted partners deliver it.

Churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations place cards into the hands of neighbors who could use hope or encouragement.

03

Local businesses serve it.

Participating coffee shops, restaurants, and food trucks honor the cards and welcome recipients like any other customer.

The cards carry no dollar amount. They simply say “Good for one coffee drink” or “Good for one delicious meal.”
The command behind the mission

Love God. Love Neighbor.

30 “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.”
31 “The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Hospitality with dignity

Our Partner Hospitality Covenant

Every participating business and distribution organization agrees to a shared standard of dignity, privacy, and genuine welcome. We believe every person is made in the image of God. No one receiving a Love God, Love Neighbor card should be treated like a burden, a charity case, or “those people.”

Every card represents a person—not a category.
Every recipient is a neighbor—not a project.

Genuine welcome Recipients are welcomed with the same patience, warmth, and respect shown to every other guest.
Protected dignity No public questioning, embarrassment, condescension, or requirement to explain personal circumstances.
Respect for privacy Recipients are not photographed, discussed, identified, or used for publicity without informed permission.
No strings attached Receiving or redeeming a card is never conditional on prayer, church attendance, personal information, or religious participation.
Trained representatives Employees, volunteers, and leaders interacting with recipients must understand the covenant and redemption process.
Real accountability Partners agree to address concerns honestly and understand that participation may end when dignity is not protected.

This covenant protects the people receiving the cards, the businesses and organizations serving them, and the integrity of the outreach. Hospitality is not complete merely because food or coffee was provided. How a neighbor is welcomed matters.

Plain answers

Common questions

Are these gift cards?

No. They are outreach cards for one defined item: a coffee drink or a delicious meal. No monetary value is printed on the recipient-facing card.

No. A portion reimburses the participating business. A portion supports printing, tracking, administration, partner support, and continued operation through Gumptious Works Co.

Who receives the cards?

Trusted local organizations distribute them through real relationships. The cards may provide provision or encouragement during hardship, grief, recovery, illness, family strain, or another difficult season.

Is religious participation required?

No. The outreach is motivated by Christian faith, but the gift is never conditional upon attending a service, praying, sharing personal information, or making a profession of faith.
